Working closely with customers, our bespoke chicken and turkey products offer creative and flavoursome lunchtime solutions, including street food-inspired dishes, superfood salads, hot and cold sandwiches and much more.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for operatives to join the busy HR team at the Hull Poultry sites.

  • Design attractive and effective adverts
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write job advert content for current openings
  • Keep up to date with employment law changes relevant for recruitment
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media and employees (current and past)
  • Develop and track goals for the recruiting and hiring process
  • Promote careers in food and farming to younger generations through proactive links with schools
  • Advertise job openings on careers pages, job boards and social networks (e.g. LinkedIn)
  • Implement and encourage employee referral programs
  • Source candidates through online channels (e.g. professional networks and recruitment sites)
  • Screen CVs and applications and update candidates on hiring processes
  • Source candidates for apprenticeships and traineeships as appropriate
  • Design appropriate interview questions and assessments and advise managers or various selection methods to hire best candidate for the role
  • Interview candidates during various hiring stages, including phone, face to face interviews and assessment centres as appropriate
  • Report to hiring managers and HR managers on the status of open positions
  • Evaluate candidates based on their interview and assessment performance
  • Determine qualification criteria for each position as appropriate
  • Analyse turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needs and suggest improvements
  • Answer candidates’ queries regarding the application process
  • Continuous improvement of candidate experience
  • Provide interview feedback, when necessary and appropriate
  • Participate in job fairs and external events to boost company’s reputation
  • Collaborate with HR Advisors to help new hires onboard
