Pur­chas­ing Co-Ordinator

Location: South Cave, Hull

Hours: 40 hour working week

An opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Co Ordinator to join the team. This position will support the Production Manager and work with both Area and Farm Managers across the business.

We are looking for an individual to pro-actively develop supply strategies across all sites to purchase cost-effective and sustainable supplies, ensuring availability of supply and agreeing best possible contract terms, prices and service levels at all times.

Main duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Purchasing stock items
  • Stock Control
  • Ensuring there is a clear understanding of how equipment is consumed on farm
  • Overseeing the Stores, ensuring they are kept in a good and tidy condition including Line Management responsibilities
  • Organising delivery of stock out to farm in a timely manner
  • Keeping accurate records for all data points
  • Managing the vehicle fleet including organizing fuel cards, vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs

Requirements, experience and person specification:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
  • A forward thinking, pro-active approach to all areas of the job role is a must
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Being numerate with good Excel skills is very desirable
  • Clean UK driving licence
