Cranswick Gourmet Sausage, (Lazenby’s) is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Production Planning Scheduler to join the team and play a vital role in the ongoing development of our site, which produces premium sausages for leading supermarket chains.

As a Production Planning Scheduler you will ensure production plans are prepared, updated and communicated to enable customer orders to be produced in a timely and efficient manner. Full support and training will be provided from our team of experienced colleagues.

Some of your key areas of responsibility will include (but not limited to):

  • Set the Daily Production Plan based on target throughput figures whilst taking into account any product life or line restrictions and overall efficiency of the factory
  • To collate sales orders and forecast data to assist Material Schedulers and to adjust the plan accordingly to account any material / capacity constraints
  • Entering the production requirement onto the system, ensuring 100% accuracy, in order to support the production plans
  • Schedule the lines within the packing hall to ensure the most efficient plan is presented, in order to hit pull out times for deliveries to the customer
  • Work alongside the Material Scheduler to ensure all Materials are used within life constraints
  • Work alongside planning analysit to provide daily updates to the Management team on plan attainment, orders v forecast, issues and other KPI’s
  • Raise and adjust customer orders in the absence of the Finance Team
  • Work alongside Production Team to ensure Plan Attainment is monitored / amended as and when necessary

Requirements, experience and person specification (but not limited to):

  • Experience in a supply chain role and /or manufacturing, preferably food processing industry
  • Previous use MRP systems, Short Shelf Life & Chilled Goods Products all advantageous
  • Competent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutLook Email) are essential
  • Confidence to work on your own initiative balanced with a team work approach
  • Strong communication skills across all levels
  • An analytical approach to your work, with an ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail
