Cranswick Country Foods is one of the largest pork processors in the UK, dealing with multiple customers, the food service sector and further processors. An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Payroll Administrator to join the busy Finance team at the Preston site.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of a weekly payroll of all directly employed and agency weekly paid employees and the production of daily hours reports for internal use.

Main skills required:

· Previous payroll experience essential

· Strong IT and Excel ability

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· Accuracy

Key responsibilities include:

· Preparation of the weekly payroll

· Prepare and issue Daily Hours KPI Reports

· Weekly Departmental Labour Report

· Maintenance of clocking system

· Administration of the pension Auto Enrolment process

· Cover and assist all other payroll tasks

· Maintain confidentiality regarding the work that is carried out

· Conduct yourself in a responsible and courteous manner at all times

· Highlight areas of improvement

· Respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct when interacting with colleagues

· Attend required training in line with current legislation, Health and Safety guidelines and changing departmental operations

· Ensure that you understand and adhere to your personal responsibilities with regard the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Environmental Protection Act 1990, Site Environmental Permit, company HSE policies, site safety rules, and procedures at all times

· To identify hazards in the workplace and actively take part in the behavioral safety programme

· Carry out activities with full awareness of their impact on the environment, both in terms of people and the local area

· Understand and minimise energy and waste within the department
