Night Hygiene Team Leader

We are now looking for a driven Night Hygiene Team Leader (internally known as a Chargehand) to join us. Working on a 4on4off shift pattern and reporting to the Hygiene Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring hygiene is maintained to a high standard for the site, whilst you and your team work within all quality, legal and safety standards.
Working Hours – 7pm-5:30am, 4 days on/4 days off
Job requirements of Hygiene Chargehand:
- Maintaining and improving hygiene standards where required
- Liaise with night hygiene manager/supervisor and quality audit personnel, and rectify any hygiene issues
- Motivate and train staff in basic chemical handling/health and safety
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed and correct
- Check the previous morning pre-start hygiene audit and inform all members of the team of any faults found and ensure that any faults are rectified immediately
- The collection of any tools, keys etc. from security
- Organise the team and inform them of their individual tasks for the night
What you will need:
- Previous hygiene knowledge and experience working in a manufacturing environment (Ideally food).
- Great people management and communication skills.
- Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in training staff is desirable.
Pay and benefits:
- Hourly Rate - £16.67 per hour
- Rate inclusive of a £1 per hour weekly attendance bonus
