Line Leader (High Risk) 4on/​4off

We are proud to have opened a brand new, purpose built, breaded chicken factory and have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team, as Line Leader in High Risk Department.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a High Risk Line Leaders to join the busy production team at the Hull site.

The purpose of this role is to effectively manage line and staff to achieve set targets and specifications.

The main duties of the role are;

  • Ensure MAP checks are conducted and recorded
  • Ensure temperature checks are conducted and recorded
  • Ensure product trainability is maintained at all times
  • Communicating product changes to packing department
  • To conduct preflight checks, checking the machine speed is set up correctly, no visual damage to the machine
  • To ensure the lines are serviced with the required specification product
  • Ensure the product packed to the correct specification (weight, pack size, etc.)
  • To guide and train new starters
  • Ensure the companies hygiene policies are adhered too and maintained at all times.
  • Ensure correct storage of the product in the area
  • To supervise line operatives on a day-to-day basis ensuring that performance, product quality, good housekeeping, discipline and safety standards are maintained.
  • Set up line for products including setting films, module, selecting correct programs for machines (printer, Sealpac, scales, denester, etc.)
  • To ensure correct recording of KPI, downtime
  • Ensure all issues communicated to team leaders/ managers in timely manner
  • To Maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of yourself and other employees in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 as well as adhering to Control of Substances Hazard to Health (COSHH) regulations
  • To respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct, when interacting with your colleagues at all times.
