IT Support Engineer

Location
Cranswick Plc, Gourmet Sausage, Hull

To maintain the IT infrastructure of both the factory and offices to ensure optimum performance at all times. To offer first/second line support to internal users with day-to-day IT problems and to proactively manage the onsite support

Main duties include:

  • Support and monitor the current infrastructure, systems & production systems
  • Assist end users with typical day to day IT queries & troubleshooting
  • Assist the factory users with using the production systems
  • Ensure that all systems on site are maintained & kept up to date
  • Assist with any relevant IT projects
  • Prioritising and managing workload effectively, managing several open Incidents
  • Keep users informed on status and progress of requests
  • Good team skills are required, particularly in communicating with other departments and key users
  • Be able to communicate with people at all levels and various technical abilities
  • Contribute and keep up to date documentation including technical guides/knowledge base
  • Abide by the group IT policies & procedures

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Supporting a windows operating system environment
  • Good communication & troubleshooting skills

Desirable:

  • WMS/other equaviliant manufactyring systems experience
  • Delford or other weigh price labeler experience
  • Any other food manufacturing systems experience
