Be part of something bigger at Cranswick

At Cranswick Convenience Foods Milton Keynes, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers — supplying high-quality cooked meats to major retailers. We’re a people business at heart. Our culture is built on empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement. We’re passionate about growing our people and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

We’re now looking for a HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our dynamic HR team. If you’re someone who enjoys variety, thrives on building strong relationships, and is ready to influence real change, this is your opportunity to make an impact in a fast-paced, forward-thinking business.

The Opportunity

As a HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with our operational and departmental managers to unlock potential across their teams. You’ll be the go-to partner for driving engagement, managing employee relations, and building effective people strategies that align with our business goals.

You’ll also play a key role in shaping our site culture through projects that promote wellbeing, inclusion, reward and recognition, and talent development.

This is a visible and influential role where you’ll balance hands-on HR delivery with strategic input.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with dedicated departments to deliver long-term people plans that support growth and retention.

  • Lead on employee relations — managing investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and absence cases with fairness and consistency.

  • Analyse HR data and KPIs to identify trends and drive proactive improvements.

  • Collaborate with external solicitors and internal leaders to reach timely and commercially sound case outcomes.

  • Coach and influence managers on effective people practices, leadership behaviours, and performance management.

  • Champion Cranswick’s culture through initiatives in talent management, engagement, ED&I, wellbeing, and recognition.

  • Support and deliver site-wide HR projects in partnership with our wider HR and L&D teams.

  • Ensure compliance with employment law and HR policies while driving a positive, high-performance culture.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in a HRBP role, including employee relations case management.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.

  • CIPD Level 5 or above (or working towards) preferred.

  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments advantageous.

  • Confident communicator — able to influence at all levels of the business.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for developing others.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

What’s in it for you

At Cranswick, we value our people and reward their commitment. You’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • BUPA Private Healthcare

  • Matched Pension up to 10%

  • 33 Days Holiday (including Bank Holidays)

  • Car Lease Scheme

  • Share Save Scheme

  • Life Assurance – 4x salary cover

  • Opportunities for training, professional development, and progression
