Finan­cial Controller

An exciting senior leadership opportunity in the financial world of FMCG UK at Cranswick Continental, this role will suit someone with the ability to thrive in a fast paced and results focussed environment.

Leading the Finance and IT teams to deliver an exceptional finance support function to the business proactively reviewing with key stakeholders to drive efficiencies in site operational performance and commercial opportunities.

You will be working for a food focussed business who specialise in Continental Food, run by a team of passionate and knowledgeable foodies that put our products at the centre of what we do.

Main duties include (but not limited to):

•Overall responsibility for the business FP&A and SOP processes

•Leads on Customer profitability analysis, customer tender scenarios, price inflation and Market opportunities.

•Development of Capital investment business cases and post implementation reviews

•Driving the introduction of the integrated factory system and related reporting

•Interface with the group finance function to ensure adherence to and sharing of best practice

•Involvement in the Group risk management framework and local risk management controls

•Continuous improvement in relation to review and analysis of operation and commercial reporting and development of the commercial costing process.

•Development of Capital investment business cases and post implementation reviews

•Ensure an effective development plans, talent pipelines and succession plans exist for the Finance and IT departments

•Full ownership of all management accounting reporting with appropriate interpretation and analysis incl. satellite sites

•Ultimately responsible for ensuring financial information is submitted accurately and according to group deadlines

•Ownership of the internal and external audit team relationships

•Managing cash flow for the company by ensuring good working capital practices

•Implementation and improvement of financial control and management reporting procedures and processes

Requirements, experience and person specification

·An ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant with a proven track record in a similar finance leadership role, working as an integral part of a senior leadership team, ideally in FMCG.

·A Strategic thinker with a strong drive to succeed though effective stakeholder communication and management.

·Ability to work autonomously, prioritising their workload, using their initiative and meeting deadlines.

·Effective communication and influencing skills, with a proactive challenging and flexible approach.

·Proven analytical problem solver who thrives on the managing of change.
