Gill is a pastry fanatic! It’s a passion that led to her founding Yorkshire Baker, an artisan pastry business which partnered with Cranswick to become the Cranswick Gourmet Pastry Company.
She began working on her parents’ farm as a child and later became a qualified butcher, opening her own shop. A move to Yorkshire saw her go it alone again, specialising in savoury pastry and producing her first handcrafted sausage rolls from the very best ingredients. She began supplying delicatessens in North Yorkshire and later her partnership with Cranswick enabled her to upscale production, bringing real Yorkshire pastry to a much wider market.
Gill still works out of Yorkshire Baker's facilities, ensuring that only the highest quality pastries leave the site.
